"The Catholic University, along with any other University, is inserted in human society. For the realization of his service to the Church, it is requested - always within the competence of its own - to implement increasingly effective cultural progress for individuals and for society.
Its research activities, therefore, include the study of serious contemporary problems, such as the dignity of human life, the promotion of justice for all, the quality of personal and family life, protection of nature, the search for peace and stability policy, more equitable distribution of wealth in the world and a new economic and political order that will better serve the human community at national and international level.
University research will seek to discover the roots and causes of the serious problems of our time, paying special attention to their ethical and religious dimensions. "
"For many years I made myself a beneficial experience that enriched me inwardly than is typical of university life: the ardent search for truth and its unselfish transmission to youth and to all those learning to think rigorously, to do rectitude and to better serve humanity.
